I totally agree with you about switching OS. Since I've been using Windows for a dozen+ years, I've got used to its issues, and the problems that appear on Linux are annoying to me. I'm sure that if it was the other way around, and I tried to switch to Windows after Linux, I would be overwhelmed by the amount of bugs and problems too (and chances are Windows has even more issues than Linux).

It's very unfortunate that everyone aims to develop for Windows only. But I think it will change soon, many apps already offer a Linux version (or at least have a web app). It's just a matter of time when all apps will have a good alternative on Linux.

And I agree with you regarding freedom of Linux - it really does feel great to have complete control over your OS (and not have some huge corporation stealing your data all the time). I think I will try to switch to Linux again soon.
